Turn a logo or design into a clean, scalable vector
Upload a PNG or JPG and convert it to a crisp SVG you can scale to any size — right in your browser. No Illustrator, no signup. Best for logos and flat-color art. Need press-ready spot colors next? Separate it in one click.
Now make it press-ready
Vectorizing cleans up the art — separating turns it into a film positive per ink with white underbase and halftones. Drop the same design into the separator and see your spot colors free.
How to vectorize an image free
Upload your artwork, choose how many colors to keep, and the tool reduces the image to flat color regions and traces each one into smooth vector paths — exported as a standard SVG that scales to any size without getting blurry or pixelated. Everything runs locally in your browser; your file never leaves your computer.
What vectorizes well (and what doesn't)
- Great: logos, badges, lettering, flat illustrations, clip-art-style designs.
- Not ideal: photographs and heavy gradients — those have thousands of colors and trace into messy paths. For photo-real art, screen print it as simulated process or DTF instead.
Vectorizing vs. color separation
They solve different problems. Vectorizing makes art scalable (clean edges at any size). Color separation splits art into one printable plate per ink for screen printing. Screen printers usually want both — vectorize the customer file, then separate it. AI Separations does the separation step: detected inks, white underbase, halftones, and a film positive per color.
